THE PIPSDISH KITCHEN

We’re extending the lease a while longer, so you still have plenty of opportunity to come and share the experience, in the evening on Thursday, Friday and Saturday or for lunch on Saturday and Sunday. Don’t expect anything like a restaurant in terms of formality or elegance but expect a hospitality and the most carefully sourced produce, cooked with love, on your plate. And even better, you can bring your own wine.

For us, it’s all about people and ingredients. We want you to feel the love we put into our cooking. So when you come into the garage we want it to be like walking into our kitchen, that nothing is hidden or behind doors. We want it to be like coming home.

We’re working with vintage interiors warehouse Old Albion who have helped to make the garage look wonderful and who are selling great pieces in the space. All our English produce comes through supplier Farm-Direct.com. The fish is all landed in Cornwall on a day boat on Thursday and is mostly by-catch – the fish that posh restaurants and chains won’t eat. Here you will find Wrasse, Smooth Hound, Conger and Ling on the menu as well as octopus, sardines, sea trout, herring and mackerel. All from British waters. And we take as much trouble with our meat, sourcing only beasts who have the best welfare. Free-raise veal, rare breed British Lop Pork, Salt Marsh Mutton and Belted Galloway beef are all on the menu.

For those of you who don’t know her, I’d like to introduce my new partner in PipsDish, Mary Doherty. She’s every inch a cook and brings a wonderful balance to my energy. We are currently working with architects and designers on developing our next creative culinary venture.

PipsDish Kitchen is open for our regular Friday & Saturday Dinners –  3 courses and canapes from 745pm

Thursday evenings we serve fresh grilled fish from Cornwall with bread and salads from 7pm

Sunday – 3 course lunch sitting at 1245pm
